
The Student Government Association is now accepting applications from individuals interested in being the student speaker at the commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2010. This selection process is ONLY for the following colleges:
- College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
- College of Commerce
- College of Communication
- School of Education only
All other colleges or schools have their own selection processes; please contact your college office for: Law, Music, Theatre, and the School for New Learning.
Your speech must be typed, double-spaced, 12 point font. Length should be about 5 minutes. Please write your speech with your peers, professors, and parents in mind.
If you are interested in speaking, please submit your speech and application using this online form. All applications are due by Friday, March 19, 2010 at 5 PM. As well, you must be available on April 9th and April 10th to audition in order to apply.
If selected as the Commencement Speaker for your college or school, you will be required to work with a faculty advisor and the other student commencement speakers in group rehearsal sessions.
